This SEDA professional award programme recognises your work as a leader of change in ‘Employer Engagement and Work-based Learning’. Whether this is a new area of development for you or one in which you have great experience, the programme raises a set of contemporary issues in this highly contestable and provocative arena of HE/FE work. We will re-examine a number of contexts and range of perspectives which underpin the notions of Employer Engagement and Work-based Learning and, hopefully, will generate some ideas for the future development of WBL in your own institution.  

This course has been designed for colleagues working
in leading change roles for the improvement of educational practice in
higher education.
The course will give you opportunities to share your experiences,
insights and reflections with the other course participants and
provides a preparation for the SEDA-PDF Award inLeading Staff and Educational Development.

This module provides an opportunity for you to
develop a portfolio which you will present for assessment. You will be
working through a virtual learning environment (VLE) in small groups
under the guidance of an experienced educational developer. On
successful completion of the module you will achieve a SEDA-PDF
(Professional Development Framework) Award in Staff and Educational
Development. You will also be eligible for a SEDA Associate Fellowship.
